[shadow=red,left,300] mystery over machete gang[/shadow] It seems the Keighley police are "baffled" about the motives for an attack by three pakistani men? wielding a machete and baseball bat who attacked a car full of pakistani men? at a Keighley filling station last Thursday night. The staff at the Jet station in South street raised the alarm just after 11pm after seeing the pakistani men? attacking the car, the attackers and the damaged car had both fled the scene by the time the Keighley police arrived. Det Insp Shaun Berry from the Keighley police said the four asian(pakistani) men? remained inside the 'silver' vehicle throughout to attack. He said:"three asian" (pakistani) men?"ran up to the vehicle carrying what looked like a baseball bat and a machete-type knife and attacked the vehicle". "Although the attack lasted only a short while, the attackers ran off towards Rawling street and the vehicle made off. "It was certainly frightening for those who were present but we are at a loss as to what it was all about. "It's not something that happens a great deal- we don't know whether it was local, or people passing through." (He must be new to the district?) Anyone with information about the incident should phone Keighley police on 01535 617059 (Anyone want to ring them to tell them to check out the filling station surveillance camera?)
